As a business deployment manager in a multinational company is also known as business planner and implementer. I need to consistantly working with IT technical teams and resources. My roles and responsibilties is to ensure end users are getting what they need to have in a new Microsoft Windows paltform, VISTA.
I need to pay attention to business development and adjust the IT infrastructure deployment according the usage demand. Business deployment is a challenging job and it is reliant on good knowledge of best practice and management policies.
For some time, business deployment managers have been stressing the urgent need for radical new approaches to the corporation. In this paradigm, the bottom line is deliverable within the program scope. The program manager should play the roles of continouns driving the correct direction for the teams and concentrates on developing creative approach to achieve the deliverables. I am the busienss deployment manager that reporting to a program manager who is lack of direction, creativity, innovation. In this case, I must take control my own decision-making and command a deployment structures that responsive to end users demand and complains. The business deployment manager has to always develop new strategic plans, always active in the customer feedback, survey, and technology research. Last but not least, I need to undertake presentation to negotiate with unreasonable demand.
In summary, business deployment manager is answerable to the senior management about the deployment status, issues, risks, and project financial position. Constant health check is on going to ensure that the works do not have major blockers or not in the critical path.
